With layers of crystaline glazes applied to create a unique pattern which I called Galaxy. No bowl can ever be the same in both form & appearance, these are truly unique.
The little bowl can sit inside the bigger or be separate creating a larger display.
The material porcelain & stoneware blend creates a strong bowl which is non porous & can be used with liquid is so wished.
There are many steps in producing these bowls, from creating the forms, refining the pieces as they dry, first firing which turns them from clay to ceramic, glazing & re-firing to a high temperature of 1265 degrees to create a strong, non porous form, then glazing with the crystaline glaze and re-firing at a lower temperature for the glazes to develop as they should.
Although these are strong bowls, I would recommend hand washing.
